I make no apology for being an information sponge right now!

Another question is about apps. I already use the Apple health app to record stats so I’ve update it to record BG levels too but the question is more about the specific BG apps like:
Glucose Buddy
One Drop
and the others.

Is there anything that they do which people have found useful? Glucose Buddy does a photo diary where you snap a pic of the meal and it links it back to BG reading for example.
I think the logic is that a visual record is perhaps more impactful than just writing down what you’ve eaten.

Keen to hear thoughts and experiences from others 🙂

I use mySugr too (and have dine from years). There’s a slightly quirky (almost fun!) feel to it, which was a breath of fresh air after the dry options I’d tried before. But what I liked more was that it was a) very capable and thorough and also b) customisable so I could rearrange things and turn off stuff I didn’t need which made the logging suit my needs better.

It does pictures too 🙂

I really should look at this myself. Currently I use google sheets and just log stuff myself. I did it so i could graph things. I might look at that MySugr thingy, but my phone is ancient and I don't really want a "real" smartphone because I don't like being contactable sometimes (once your number is out there, you're toast).

Interesting point about not wanting a “real” smartphone. All you need do is turn off notifications for things like email etc. I’m assuming that if you have a mobile phone then your number is already out there so just lock down on privacy settings. Or don’t and just carry on as you are if that works for you!

Trying mysugr and glucose buddy - linked to the Health app on my iPhone - and first impressions are leaning to Glucose Buddy.
It just seems so much cleaner than mysugr.

Important to find the right solution for you 🙂
