I've just been reading the health benefits of apple juice. It is not something I would normally buy but are there any on the market which are 'diabetic friendly'?

All are much the same in carbohydrate content - and virtually all the CHO in apple juice is sugar.

Best way to reduce CHO / sugar content is to dilute slightly with water / sparkling water / suagr free soft drink.

Best way to get health benefits of apples is to eat apples, rather than drink juice, as whole fruit have fibre than even juice with particles.

According to one of my DSNs, fruit juice is a 'no never' for me as a T2 and to only ever eat the fruit whole. These days I can afford take all such instructions with a pinch of salt, but find undiluted juice too sweet. If I do indulge, I mix it 50/50 with water or homemade iced tea instead.

P.S. I really prefer my apple juice fermented. Cloudy cider... mmmm! Fortunately (?) it's very difficult to find the good stuff in Essex.

I tend to go for the fruit rather than the juice these days too. But if I just have to have some, I do a 50/50 split with sparkling water.
