On the TV last night ‘Trust me I’m a doctor’ prog, was testing the benefits of apple-cider vinegar, and it was demonstrated to bring down cholesterol levels. The effect on blood sugars wasn’t so conclusive, but it might help.
I got a red alert from my GP recently that if I didn’t get my cholesterol levels down to 5 (currently 5.5) then she would strongly recommend statins. There are so many mixed messages about statins I’d rather not go there, so I’m trying to get it down by other means so I think I’ll try the cider vinegar to see if it helps.
Does anyone else have any experience of this?
Recommended dose seems to be a teaspoonful in a glass of water. There are warnings though that the acidity may take the enamel off your teeth!
and recommend drinking through a straw. No doubt my grandsons will think that is funny and another one of those weird things that Nanna does.🙄
