Congratulations Admin, hope all goes well for mother and baby - assuming there isn't a second or third in hiding! Well they are only small and so easy to loose even when they are 5 years old :D

Congrats Admin. my grandchild is due June 8th ( we know it is a girl and she is going to be called Abby Kelsey) had to know due to health reasons.

Congratulations to both of you. Hope everything goes well. Please don't forget the updates🙂

Yes - have just swapped PCT's and new one is all for them - Hurrah! But can't go for it quite yet as I am pregnant! Have to get baby out safely first!

😛how exciting!!! Lots and lots of congratulations to you both!!!😛

congratulations to you both and for the future

wow i miss a few days of threads, and look whats happened! Sincere congratlations admin! I wanna know all the in's and out's! X x x

Congratulations, what fab news. Can I offer the names of Adrienne or Toni, they are quite universal as would do for boy or girl. They are both my names, obviously for a girl!!!! (I hope you have all realised that 😉)

Congrats on good news. i wish you all health and happiness.

When thinking of names, if it is a boy remember Big Daddy the wrestler is really Shirley and John Wayne is really Marion, but there are plenty of good strong boys names around...

Congratulations! Really lovely news! I am sure all will go well. Don't worry about the being induced at 38 weeks bit. When I had my little girl everyone said that from the very beginning but when I actually got to 38 weeks they changed their minds and said because baby was a normal size and everthing was ok they would leave me alone. She was delivered by c.section (but only because she was the wrong way round, not because of my diabetes!) at exactly 40 weeks. Good luck.

Oooh! That sounds good Allison - I hope my lot will take that attitude too!

Another thing Admin....be really careful after delivery as insulin requirements reduce significantly with almost immediate effect. The evening following my delivery my sliding scale was switched off and I had a sandwich and injected a much lower amount of insulin than I had been doing whilst I was carrying baby. Was taken back to the ward and on the way fell into a diabetic coma, nursing staff just thought I was asleep so left me for a while (still holding my new baby!!!) and eventually ended up back on HDU! I suspect it's better to be a little bit high post delivery rather than so low that you lose a few hours!

And no worries about c section. My big boy is now almost 23 and wanted to be born bottom first, so I had an unplanned c section. I could have had 24 hours bed rest had I wanted it, but I wasn't diabetic then and didn't need the rest.

Oh congratulations to you both!!! 🙂

How have you found your bg control whilst pregnant? I always think it would be easier as you have better reqsons for being good, if you know what i mean. 🙂
