I have been using a split dose for years now - so so much better for me. 🙂
Though would still prefer to be on pump! :D

Yes - have just swapped PCT's and new one is all for them - Hurrah! But can't go for it quite yet as I am pregnant! Have to get baby out safely first!

Congatulations! 🙂 Hope all is going well. I think that you should run a competition for us to name the baby...how about 'Milly'...! ONLY JOKING!:D:D

Many thanks - kept quiet about til now to make sure i am OK - and I am bean is staying!
Very excited and very nervous!

Anyway back to Northerner...Sounds like all the signs are there for seasonal lantus madness...hope the duvet change helps! Very impressed you are a runner with chillblains... I had them when I was little in my first years of diagnosis - haven't suffered since. Used to itch like hell!

Great idea!

That's actually a really good idea Northerner! Hubby and I can't agree! LOL!! :D I actually really like Milly (I used to have books called Milly Molly Mandy when I was little - they were very old fashioned and sweet!! LOL! (Hubby doesn't!)

Admin and Admin's hubby - congratulations! Not sure about calling it Milly if it's a boy, though?!?

WOOPPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Admin! When is the baby due? Have you had a scan?Is it likely to be twins?Sorry for all the questions - i get so excited when someone is pregnant!:DAny morning sickness etc?:D Bev x

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you xx
Anyway - news is out now! And I am very excited and terrified! It will be our first! Have finally started to look pregnant this week (week 27!) rather than like I have ate lots of pies! LOL!

Hmmm - it is a yellow bump and going to stay that way - so yes! Milly for a boy not so good! Boys names are sooo hard!

EDD is July 7th - though they want to induce me at 38 weeks (like all diabetics - whether type 1 or 2). I am not happy about this as it was just assumed at my first appointment - am in discussion with them at the mo! at the end of the day it is what is best for me and my baby.
Actually it's not being induced so much as being put on a bloomin' sliding scale. I have never yet been to a hospital where they can get it right - I have to tell them when it is too much/too little and they alway look at me as if I have 2 heads - until they realise I know my body! It is so, so stressful. Nothing wrong with a fast acting insulin pen and a glucose drink if you ask me!
I am very open minded and will assess nearer the time. Have 28 week scan to see how bean is growing (hopefully not too much!) next week. So far been bang on for dates.

Great news. Really hope all goes well for the three of you. What's in a name?
The healthy newborn is the important thing.

We decided on a name for our #3. Dropped a clanger, fully expected another male.🙂 Had a definite boy's name. Couldn't really call a little girl Hamish Angus ...

I don't know why not - didn't Johnny Cash have a boy named Sue...!:D

names for babies - not just humans!

When a male Highland calf was born on my birthday at the park where I work, I was allowed to name him, as they couldn't name him after me - so I chose Hamish, after one of our long dead remote "Hi'land laddies", relatives of my lowland Scots grandmother.

Admin,
Will you ask what sex it is or not? I never wanted to know as its the only thing that gets you through the labour!
As for names - well - i personally prefer not to choose a 'trendy' name just in case it goes out of favour and little 'chardonnay' becomes a laughing stock! (sorry if anyones called chardonnay).
I chose very old fashioned names that would sound as nice when they were 80 as when they were a newborn! Katie, Hannah and Alex. I am so excited for you - and just a note about whether you have a natural birth or a 'planned' section - i really dont think it matters as when your holding your newborn in your arms all of that stuff just disappears - even the pain!:D Bev

No don't want to know the sex - there are so many guarantees in today's world ? this is one thing you fabulously can't have any influence on! As far as names go - Love your names - I am a Katie and my cousin is Alex - ! I have always like that name for a boy... you have great taste!
I am certainly not a Chardonnay kind of girl - in every meaning!! LOL!! :D

It is such a responsibility! I am figuring to try and get to a short list and decide upon arrival! People say that sometimes you just look and know! But then I had a friend who had baby 'no-name ' for 2.5 weeks! LOL!!

Thanks for the compliment!

He he he - Yes i forgot to say - you do know! I had 2 choices for my girls and they only suited the names i gave them - and i knew within seconds of meeting them! I have since told them the other names - which of course they hated! I only had 1 name for Alex - and he wouldnt suit any other name!
Why dont you start a list of suggested names? It may be good to get an idea of what you like - and what you definately dont like! :D Bev

p.s. So glad your not finding out the sex! It makes it more exciting! Bev x
