Put the item on a high shelf in pieces so you can't get the whole piece at once Ditto. lol
Unfortunately I find that does not work for me, neither does not having it in the house, if I crave something bad enough I would walk around the corner to the shop. I also find sometimes if I dont have what I crave, I will over eat other stuff, and sometimes then get what I craved on top.
 
Gridtnr, I still have the occasional treat, life is too short
Even shorter or top precious for some with regards to the current flap!
Whatever happened to the keep calm and carry on mantra of few yrs back.

That's why psychologically speaking, I like the Moser Roth from Aldi - it's Aldi's 'own brand' label but actually made by a chocolate firm somewhere in England! Anyway, I can kid myself that I've just eaten a WHOLE BAR of chocolate when I've had one portion, cos they are each individually wrapped.

Even that trick does not work for me at my worse. Sometimes I can manage it. Don't think I have any in the house at the moment.
