Hi
I'm a 52yo woman and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago but there was no follow up, until I was admitted to hospital with chest pains last week.
My blood sugar was 29. My blood oxygen was low. After 5 days I came home with metformin and insulin. They never discovered what caused the chest pains or low oxygen.
I'm bedbound with chronic fibromyalgia pain and now obese.
I've got the hang of using the insulin, but have gone through loads of needles and test atrips trying to get a reading. Now I've given up.
My eyesight is really bad now (new specs on the way) and my hands are really sore and shaky from the fibro.
I've lived with anxiety, depression and PTSD for decades.
So there's the cheerful bit 😉 Look forward to getting to know you all! 🙂
