Group 7-day waking average?

Morning

4.6 today, just a glint of sunshine coming through the windows, although forecast to rain later. No plans today, will spend the day knitting/crotcheting, I think I may have the dishwasher to empty as I think hubby might have put that on before he went to work this morning. I might do yoga later, but haven’t decided yet as I don’t usually do Yoga on a Monday and it is a 8 - 9pm class, I’ll see how I feel later.

Good morning. 6.1. Need to spend some time catching up with posts - I've been feeling glum and sulking, refusing to even take my morning bg - a 78 year old teenager in a strop. Pulled myself together yesterdsy evening, cooked a decent meal, which would have been better if I hsdn't dropped the spinach on the floor, and spent a couple of hours clesning up my accomodation and having a rather splashy strip wash.all rather difficult from a wheelchair. Managed a couple of momentary stands on left leg which I c!assed as wins although rather terrifying as a!one in the house for the 3 dsys of Easter - the boys sre back on the building works tomorrow. Pain levels are, I think, reducing a bit or I am geting better st avoiding dodgy moves.
Had some splendid news - autistic grsndson has caught the reading bug and is putting in a steady 2 hours a day! At lsst a break through after months of minecraft and determined avoidance of mastering reading. What a joy to think that he has somethiing opening up for him now he has turned his intelligence and focus to something worthehile. My daughters patience hss paid off big time. No reports of meltdowns so maybe a more stable future beckons. He is such a lovely little chap.
Hope everyone is enjoying thevlong weekend and managing to avoid the chocolat bunnies. I' ll try to catch up on the backlog of posts after breakfast. Bacon, eggs, and black coffee are calling.
Morning Tina sorry you have been having such a difficult time lately and hopefully your change of mood will improve you being much more positive about life.
Really pleased about your grandsons news as it is such a big step and I find that using others situations and their inspiration as a driver for making me feel better about life.

Morning a 5.8 for me and a slow start after a lazy w/ end.Spent a little time in garden yesterday and walk into town and around the park but only about 8k steps.
Our car boot trip was rained off so will go to garden centre for free drinks ( well as part of our membership) and look for a small Tree Fern ( will make 5 in total now) so am seeing the tropical forest grow.
We have cleared a small patch at bottom of our garden we are going to turn into a “ wild flower” bit to attract butterflies/ bees etc.
So we may need some more top soil or bark depending on soil test result.
Relaid some chippings at front and have a lot of garden rubbish to clear next week.
Not nice weather so will be quiet on roads and heading to North Wales tomorrow so hopefully roads will be quiet but a nice gentle reintroduction to work after long w/ end.

Morning all. 6.6, had porrige this morning and so far i've stayed in the 6s! Could it be i've turned a corner from the high levels last week? Who knows as diabetes is unpredictable, but i'll take it for now.

Hubby is working this morning so i shall be packing for our few days away, then off to the cinema this afternoon. Its raining and cool here atm.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning,
5.6 this morning and did not have a big rise after getting up - really pleased my pump seems to have caught up and is counteracting it.

It's raining and the church picnic has been cancelled :( trying to think what else we can do on our last day of the Easter break, but there isn't much in my area which is open / indoors. 7yo is finally making her cupcakes with her dad so she is happy. I reeeeally don't want to return to school tomorrow!!

5.5 on a rather dull and grey Berkshire morning. Pegged out some washing earlier- things that can't be tumble-dried - but need to keep an eye on the weather as thundery showers are forecast for later. Currently taking a break from painting, so thought I'd post while I have my coffee.

@goodybags - I don't know what slow-cooked gammon joint recipe my wife follows but it includes cider, bramley apples, an orange and cloves. Had it for tea yesterday and it was a real treat. Some left over, so not done with it yet.

Just me and my wife at home for most of the day as our youngest has a shift at Tesco and our eldest is off to London with a couple of mates for QPR vs Swansea City, so a good day to be decorating.

@khskel - no microwave? I sometimes microwave a cup of water to make myself a cuppa.

Hope the Bank Holiday Monday weather doesn't spoil anyone's plans. Have a good day if you can.

That's how I always make tea in my parents house as they don't have a kettle (they are not that common in our country) but I thought if I suggested it here I'd risk getting deported 😱

Hi everyone. 9'3 this morning.

Roast dinner was delicious and my flatmate's friends seem a nice bunch, I had a lovely time with them 🙂 they even invited me to go to the pub after for some live music. I didn't stay as long as them because I has work this morning but it was good fun. Didn't expect to go out!

My flatmate made all of us little packs of Easter treats: little chocolates, mini eggs and gummies. The later went to the diabetes supplies cupboard 😉 With the rest and the Thornton's bunny I have more chocolate than I should, but I'll try to eat it slowly.

I finished work for the day and I'll be off tomorrow. The weather is undecided but I feel like staying at home. Sofa, book and tea sounds like a good plan.

Woke up covered with sweat and very dizzy, my BG was 9.4 which put pay to that theory. Slowly as the morning wore on began to feel better although my throat still wreaks! The dizziness receded and I got out for a ten-minute walk in the drizzle. BG still on the high side at 11.6 (two rich chocolates from the box earlier), but gradually falling to 10.8 at the moment. And the day looks a little brighter too :thankyou:

I ordered some gardening hand-tools and some compost yesterday, hopefully they will arrive before Saturday so I can make a start - my pots are in a dreadful state, but still hold some resemblances of plants, just not the desirable ones 😳

12:31 BS 8.7 slightly better than yesterday albeit a bit later. Basal, pills, & breakfast in & do drops now once I finish posting: literally just finished breakfast; like ti eat first before drops as there is a slight residual taste that works its way to the back of my throat!

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & have A Wonderful Day! 😉

For once Easter weather is so so here when usually it’s the best weather for us & it’s the rest of the summer that turns into a wet blanket! Not that the weather is THAT bad today on Bank Holiday Monday as it’s dry at least but, it’s not very warm; yesterday was rainy! Opened & ate a bit of the Terry’s Mint Ball Easter Egg I bought AGES ago, could have been February, that’ll will definitely take me up to the July 2025 Exp. Date to finish & I may not be able to do so? Had a very easy stuffed roast chicken dinner yesterday & today for breakfast, lunchtime for you normal lot, & I’ve been doing it for a while for a quick & easy roast dunner:- 1 pack of sliced roast chicken with stuffing, the kind usually for sandwiches, 4 slices from tesco & 5 from asda in 1 pack; half to about 2 thirds of a pack of mash potato, about 200 to 300g of a 400g pack, & add some chicken gravy then, ding the whole lot in the microwave for about 3.5 to 4 minutes. Then, ding & add a bag of micro-steam vegetables! Tah Dah! Very quick & easy! No fuss, no mess & no waste! 😛:D I’ve tried it with roast beef sandwich slices but, it doesn’t seem to work as well possibly because the slices are too thin & they get a bit stringy if not tough in the microwave but, it works for the slightly thicker slices of chicken as long as it’s covered with some gravy!

Good afternoon. The rain has finally arrived so taking a quick break for lunch and a cuppa after being out all morning.
9.2 this morning. Not really surprised. Had some chocolate coated peanuts and popcorn at the cinema last night and a mini egg. Film was very good and it was a lovely mild evening. Hubby enjoyed his steak dinner too.
Up early this morning to go to a local craft fayre before the rain. Got a few bits. Then an hour or so clearing the forget me nots before they set seed.
Hard to believe the Easter weekend is nearly over. Hope you all have a good week.

No number again - I've awarded myself an entirely imaginary HS, because if I'm going to cheat, why not!

Home from York safely. Brother-in-law's gig last night was excellent - brilliant music and a great atmosphere. They were tucked in a tiny corner of the pub so there was the added excitement of hoping the trombone player wouldn't knock out one of his colleagues during particularly grand solos!!

Dishwasher emptied and the first of 3 loads of washing on. It's so much easier taking teenagers/20- somethings away than when they were titchy but, sadly, the washing has increased in proportion to them!

Hope everyone is having a good Bank holiday.

Afternoon all - well, it's been dry all day with sunny intervals, but a cold breeze.

10.8 this morning, though I'd been in the 13s most of the night due to corrections a bit after midnight when the alarm went off. I was in a deep sleep and it took a while to realise it might be a false alarm and there was something wrong with the sensor which had detached itself from it's backing adhesive. Most odd, the filament was half in my arm still. Anyway had to wake myself to change the sensor, which had about 6 days to go.

Not doing anything much today, just lazing around despite it being my birthday. Tired after yesterday's entertaining and already celebrated last weekend when we were in Exeter. Also it's hubby's birthday tomorrow and we are going out for lunch. Neighbour came round first thing to invite us for dinner on Thurs and then another friend came round with a card and the most beautiful white orchid and a card + wine and a card for hubby.

Had about 1/3rd of a lukewarm jacket potato + a slice of smoked salmon and a hot cross bun for lunch (odds and ends found in the fridge) and am now 21.1 eeeek. Just corrected!

Happy Birthday to @Barrowman
Congratulations on your HS @Gwynn

Hope you are all having a lovely day.
