Hello all. I’m a veteran (no not senile, young and fit!) diabetic, type 1 for over 60 years (from babyhood!). Have been very well controlled all my life. Enjoying the freedom that today’s technology brings, from pens to blood testing, makes it all so much easier. However having said that, I still have sudden drops and unexplained highs!
My problem these days is that I wake up at a reasonable level and by the time I’m ready for breakfast it’s shot up and with an arrow straight up so still rising upwards fast. This doesn’t happen every day which makes it more difficult to cope with. We do a lot of long haul travel nowadays and I need to keep level. My clinic couldn’t advise me.
Anyone got any suggestions??!!
