I had a diabetic review today (postponed from last week) and irritatingly my HbA1c has gone up to 40 (5.8) from 34 (5.3). I'm not sure why, as I haven't been doing things differently, as far as I recall.... And it took some wrestling to get a proper print out from them - what's the point of a 'result normal, no action needed' which tells me nothing! - but my cholesterol is much the same as last year, so that's good.
I haven't been exercising much since Christmas, partly because of life barging in, but I don't know what else to do to reduce my HbA1c, and I have to go back for another check in 3 months. Any ideas? Less food? Less red wine??
