Tuesday. I saw my GP today for the result of my HbA1c ~ which was 33 :D(5.1%) Over the moon!:D My GP was overjoyed too and complimented my efforts of managing my Diabetes with diet control & exercise only and confirmed I am still in remission. She also provided me with a link for a low fat eating plan.

I'm ecstatic about my HbA1c result ever mindful that I was prescribed strong painkillers for bruised ribs following my collapse which was then followed by a chest infection that required a Course of Antibiotics. Also I had an awfully painful attack of Cellulitis (Not Cellulite) that lasted four months, when my left foot, ankle and leg swelled to the extreme up to my thigh and with a burning red rash ~ which necessitated a further Course of Antibiotics. I was unable to do any exercise during this time and ashamed to say I did a load of c**p comfort eating!!😱 All of which impacted my daily bgls. So I was more than surprised with my HbA1c result. Thus I gained weight which I've been addressing more recently. All in all, I'm a very happy bunny:D

Great work on the A1c

Tuesday. I saw my GP today to be given all my results. Chest X-Ray ~ normal. Cholesterol ~ 5.5:( Thyroid requires an increase of Levothyroxine by 25mcg. Cardiovascular monitor ~ normal. I am aneamic which require meds. FBC low:(~ and an HbA1c of 33:D Over the moon!:D (Considering I ate a load of c**p when I was immobile) My GP was overjoyed too and complimented my efforts of managing my Diabetes with diet control & exercise only. She provided me with a link for a low fat eating plan.

Well done wirralass,x

Great work on the A1c
Thank you Martin ~ I was dreading the result because of the c**p I ate when I was immobile ~ I was expecting a much higher number so as you can imagine I could have been blown over with a feather ~ so I'm still in remission:D Yeah! x

Well done wirralass,x
Thanks Heath o ~ my previous HbA1c's were 53: 47: 32: & 31 so I'm well pleased with 33:D The hardest bit now is to continue to maintain good numbers x

Fingers crossed for 25 May🙂 Do keep an eye on the low carbs won't you ~ they go hand in hand with exercise. You were busy today in your garden ~ fancy coming to mine to sort my garden out?!🙄:D x

Would if you were closer thinking about changing my appointment because it not with my normal nurse, my nurse is the only one who can get blood out of me,the rest normally give up and send me hospital to have it done or ask one of doctors go in my groin,x

Why not ring the Surgery tomorrow and make an appointment to see your usual nurse? Just say you can't meet your appt on the 25th and then request to see your nurse on another day. x

That's what I've been thinking,I'd rather stick to the one I know,x

Oh!!! :D 😎 🙂 That’s WONDERFUL, wirralass! Congrats! Jumping up & down in happiness for YOU! :D

Loved the way you put it but, I’m still eating some c***p too just not as much now!

Thanks a bunch Lanny ~ btw you can stop jumping up and down now!:DTomorrow I will treat myself to a Tiramisu, my guilty pleasure to celebrate:D Love your last quote🙄 x

Ohh! Yum! As, you know, a rich chocolate cake is mine. Haven’t had since my last birthday last November! Got all the ingredients for the low carb mini one, from 24/7 low carb shop, but, haven’t dared to try it put yet: don’t quite trust my self control yet!

Well done wirralass with results, especially with all you have had to cope with.

Blackforest Gateau is another guilty pleasure of mine but only on rare occasions🙄 I copied that mini chocolate recipe from the X-Pert diabetes education programme ~ on to the the 24/7 shop thread ~ it is only a mini cake, the size of a ramakin. I recall @Northerner telling me once that I could eat a chocolate eclair & it wouldn't impact my bgls ~ and it hardly did ~ and it was lush🙄:D:D

Thank you Carol ~ TBH I couldn't believe what I was hearing ~ never in a month of Sunday's would I have expected this result ~ it's put me in a proper good mood:D

Terrific WL
Well Done
I know the feeling and it is wonderful
