I once saw a no added sugar Easter egg and compared it with a similar "normal" egg of the same brand. They were both exactly the same total weight, exactly the same price, and the total carbohydrate content was... identical! Which means it makes no difference whatsoever for diabetics, you either need the same dose of insulin or you will get the same blood sugar rise if you are not on insulin, and you might find yourself spending rather a lot of time on the loo if you buy the low sugar one. You might as well just buy the sugary one and enjoy it in small doses.
There is a diabetic friendly aisle in most supermarkets... it's called the fresh veg department
