Mark, have you tried the Lidl protein rolls? They're only about 11g carbs apiece.
I weighed one this morning and as they're 8.5g per 100g and mine weighed 80g, they're just over half that, or are they larger where you live? They have so much protein in that I have to have an extended bolus to cover them. Nice peak free result though.

I love your testing reviews! I'm betting your next review and your hb1ac is the same as your current - 35.

I have days where I test a lot and I love it when I have a surprising good reading after some crappy food but boy do I pout when I have a bad reading after what I thought was a "good" meal!

I think they can vary in weight but I'd better weigh next time I get any as I may have been over estimating.

I had one of Lidl rolls tonight with my chicken curry. Nice 7 two hours after good - 4.8 before. I do find then a bit heavy and find 1/2 ciabatta roll which are 35-40g of carb per roll not only satisfies my bread craving perfectly but doesn't spike me either. So if I can afford 20g of carb I'll have half a roll

Yep. Have them quite regularly. Thought the low GI ones would make a change. I have now undone that change.

I know. That's annoying isn't it! I have been experimenting a bit more since my last HbA1x to see if I can manage a few more 'treats'. My 10PM reading last night was 6.1, 2 hours after dinner. This makes my average for the day 6.4, which converts to a HbA1c of 38. I know it's a rough guess, but I would be very happy with that.

Definitely variable. Today's was 95g.

I've weighed them anything from 80g to 120g.
