That look scrumptious
OMG The mind boggles, What on earth do they think we eat,The staff canteen, sorry restaurant (not allowed to call it a canteen), aren't great when it comes to stuff suitable for diabetics but this little cafe opposite the office is great.
Ive emailed the catering team about better diabetic options and basically the reply was there isnt much of a call for it!!!

They're obviously not aware that food that is good for people with diabetes is actually good for everyone! 🙄Ive emailed the catering team about better diabetic options and basically the reply was there isnt much of a call for it!!!
If anyone is in the Southwark area of London the cafe is opposite the station and its called Ma's Rotisserie. And if its a week day that you are there let me know and I'll join you for lunch!!!
Is it reasonably priced Stitch? That's often the appeal of the carb filled works can...errestaurants, they're subsidised.
That looks lovely. I've just had a scrumptious braised steak dinner from a little place in town. All home made. Always does at least 5 vegetables plus mash. Barely raises my levels (Southwark is a bit far for me or I'd love to meet for lunch) 🙂
I thought bacon egg and sausage was perfectly good for us diabeticsso I used to frequently order a bacon, egg, sausage and beans sandwich on crusts for about 40p 😱 They never seemed to run out of crusts, puzzlingly. Really, probably the most unhealthy food you could imagine! 😱 Tasty, mind!![]()
Probably not if you saw how they prepared it Ralph, in big frying pans 3 inches deep in hot fat. Probably (definitely!) not high quality sausages, lots of salt in the bacon (they were very generous, so lots), and on thick white bread crusts 😱I thought bacon egg and sausage was perfectly good for us diabetics
As you say the sausages are the problem, but aren't you confusing diabetes with cardiovascular problems😱 Alan , nothing wrong with a bit of fat and salt.Probably not if you saw how they prepared it Ralph, in big frying pans 3 inches deep in hot fat. Probably (definitely!) not high quality sausages, lots of salt in the bacon (they were very generous, so lots), and on thick white bread crusts 😱
Now with 5 million diabetics in the UK that is really sad, I accept that they would not be into LCHF food options but still.....there isnt much of a call for it!!!
