Im not sure of my levels yet as not got a monitor yet ( getting one tomorrow ) Only diagnosed on mondayIt depends! If it doesn't cause a spike in your BG levels it's OK for you.
Thank you much appreciatedYou will know more when you start testing but (for me) this would be way too many carbs.
Many T2's find that their insulin resistance is greater in the morning than the afternoon (perhaps something to do with getting exercise during the day), as a consequence they do not tolerate carbs well first thing. Many opt to have just protein & fat for breakfast (a hard boiled egg is a favorite go-to as they can be prepared in advance) others (like myself) opt not to eat until later in the day (Intermittent Fasting or IF for short).
At the end of the day, it's your choice on how/what to eat, just be guided by your meter (when it arrives). We will likely give you plenty of advice once you are ready to start testing.
Yep just had yogurt and some grapes .... not very exciting .Hi wolf cub. I still have carbs most breakfasts. Bran flakes or porridge generally. This is just because I can't bear the other options e.g cold eggs, yoghurt and berries, and because I just like them and I refuse to let Dickie (my diabetes) take all the foods I like away from me. I normally spike between 1.5 - 2 mmol but as this is still just within acceptable limits, I'll take it 🙂
Just thought I'd mention, grapes are not good. Little sugar bombs. Berries are good. If I have yoghurt & berries, l use the frozen ones as these mix in nicer than fresh ones. As for cereals, l can't touch them. Send me sky high. Some on here can tolerate porridge. Sadly, l can't.Yep just had yogurt and some grapes .... not very exciting .

It takes a while to get out of the carb mindset. I find this exciting for a weekend breakfast. Smoke salmon and eggs with Hollandaise sauce (google : stick blender hollandaise)
I don't recommend fasting at breakfast, the clue is in the name. Perhaps as suggested a slightly lower carb one. I would wait until you find the impact of what you are eating. In the military it is an offence to skip breakfast. You will know more when you start testing but (for me) this would be way too many carbs.

I have Lizi's with Greek yogurt and nuts. Worked well even before MDI, Hooked on the stuff now.I understand the liking for cereals so bear in mind that there are lower and slower release ones than weetabix that might help, also if you like it, unsweetened soya milk or almond milk have very few carbs. I found swapping weetabix for the new protein version makes a difference. I also swap one for 25g Lizi's granola and add ground linseed/flaxseed to add protein and fat and make it more filling.
