Hi everyone, I have only been diagnosed a month ago, and everyone is saying I'm doing really well coping with everthing, but like a swan calm on top and swimming on the bottom!
I'm on 10 units of long acting and 4 untits of short acting at meals time at the moment.
I have only just started to carb count my insluin to my carbs that i'm eating. But I'm finding the advice from the dietian and my mum (a retired dietitan) about vegetables confusing as the app i'm using is saying that some vegetables have carbs which the dietitan has told me to ingnore for example carrots and tomatoes. I'm don't think that advice is very good - it's ending up arguements with them as I don't think its very good advice as they say only carb count peas & sweetcorn, not things like carrots - I'm very confused on this advice. Has anybody had advice not to carb count veg and only fruit and starchy carbs?
