Hi everyone, I was diagnosed by the doctor as being type 2 diabetes in September of 2015. I was put on 500 Metformin, and take this on a morning with breakfast. I have seen the diabetic nurse once since then which was in December. I have lost on myself last weight check a few weeks ago, nearly 2 stone since being diagnosed. I'm finding t really hard though to stick to a diet, I always have. Ive always excercised but I'm unable to do the excercises I could because of having two painful slipped discs, so I do a little exercise, sometimes sat I the chair, sometimes stood and just move on the spot, sometimes dance in the room, ( hoping no one cansee through the net curtains, Lol). I bought a monitor myself to check bs every now and again, normally my readings are averaging anywhere between 111 to 158, still too high really. I was horrified to see my result this morning being 242 before id had anything at all to eat. It is normal for my reading to be higher in the morning but this iis the highest its been. I checked again, 3 hrs later, forgot after the two hours and then it was 109, and then this afternoon again up to 168. I Had I Weetabix with semi skimmed milk this morning with my tablet also, and at lunch had some pkt noodles, (didn't eat full pkt) and 1slice of brown bread. So I'm wondering why my bs is high on the mornings and has gone up even though Ive not had that much to eat really, nothing sweet too. checked the noodles little fat and sugar in them.
Sorry I'm going on, so hello again all, I'm hoping to get to read more and learn something and anything I can help with if I know the answers to anyone elses questions. Kind regards Vickyo
