Time for a visit to your GP, methinks. Maybe you need a different type of drug. Have you monitored what different types and levels of carb do to your BG readings?
P.S. When did you increase your metformin dose? There's a lead time of several days before the effect kicks in.
.../ I have not been monitoring the carbs
Hmm, perhaps it's time to give carb control a go then? It may make a big difference.
Agreed.....I think it is important to carb count anyway as this is a major factor of keeping levels better for a diabetic, yes you need them but to much carbs is not a good thing, I am very careful of how much carb intake I have as it raises bs a lot...well for me and a lot of other diabetics.
Sorry to hear this Donald. Have you tried keeping a food diary so you can get a picture of your actual day to day carb consumption, plus it might make it easier to spot areas that might be improved 🙂
