Having been diagnosed approx 5 weeks ago, put on metformin and zicron, (I have now reduced zicron to 1 a day instead of 2). I had my first set of blood tests and urine test a couple of weeks ago. I have said in an earlier thread that as a trace of blood was found in the urine, my gp gave me a short course of anti biotics to take, but as I did not have any symptoms of UTI (ie pain and discomfort), I felt reluctant to take them especially as I am already on meds that could cause stomach probs etc. I still have not taken them, but am wondering why I still suffer so much from frequent urination, ( three to five times per night) which is causing me to have broken sleep every single night. Consequently I am so exhausted in the second half of the day. I check my bg levels randomly and they never seem high either before or after food. I just dont understand why or how my bladder can fill up so often (the amount is not just a little, as it is when one has an infection) sorry to be indelicate! Has anyone any knowledge that urine infection can cause so much peeing?!
