I had 2 slices of Hovis Oaty bread /marg and half a banana. Followed by 5 water biscuits and a small lump of vegan cheezily.I dont normally have the biscuits but I was still peckish. Think they were the culprit.
I am often running at 6 or 7 just over these last few days prior to meals.
Thanks Cherry pie. I have been having weight watchers bread, but sick of it so have bought the Hovis Oaty bread for a change,( 16.4 carbs and 1.2grm sugar in each slice).
I have loads of salads anyway (almost every day) and still juggling with bread.
Burgen Bread is 15grm carbs anyway, so its difficult to judge.

I am learning from your post as I am juggling with bread for my dad managed to get him to have one slice of Burgen for breakfast instead of two although he still needs cereal to fill him up. He had the lowest reading yesterday before dinner 4.8 as he managed to exercise and garden although it went up to 8.2 2hrs after5.7 this morning.
Well done for gradually working out how carbs affect you. Almost sure it is bred and potatoes for dad but like you the dietician has told us they are fine
to eat. Your post has answered questions I had thank you
