Blood pressure coming down :)

I'm hoping I can reduce it further still so I can reduce or stop my medication 🙂

Blood pressure is certainly heading in the right direction and in time a reduction could be possible, some bp medications have the added benefit of preventing kidney and heart disease which diabetics are at a heightened risk of developing, once your levels are below 130/70 it could be worthwhile mentioning to your doctor and see what they think.

I would hope so. When I was last 130/80 I was on only 2mg of candesartan, the lowest dose. Currently I'm on 12mg (highest dose is 32mg), so I'd hope at least to be able to cut down to where I was before. Thinking back, I've been on BP meds since diagnosis.

Normal for me at the moment is 130/80 but that is after the meds were increased. My resting heart rate done last month at the fitness thing at work was 56 but I tend to cheat when someone is taking my pulse by taking deeper breaths and really trying to relax/chill. I don't know why I do that, it just seems right to cheat.

Mine was bad for a while 160/100 was the worst I think, mainly due to anxiety, when I started on treatment for anxiety my bp dropped to about 130/80 which is a big improvement. It also helped that my GP noticed that my bp was a lot lower when he used the old fashioned hand pumped cuff rather than the electronic ones - apparently I am scared of the electronic ones enough to push my bp up! Would still be good to get it down a bit more though!
