Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all - best I can say is that it's changeable... started off grey and dull but the sun is getting through a bit now.

5.9 this morning, which is fine... happy with anything in the 5s and it came at the end of a long flat line.

@eggyg I do admire you the way you just casually "throw together" a buffet lunch for the hordes, including suitable things for all ages!

@Martin.A Congrats on your HS.

A well, gotta rush, meeting a friend in a cafe in town for lunch. I know already what I'm having - (chicken with lemon mayo in a baguette) cos they haven't changed their menu in 20 years. Then we are going to the cinema to see "the Salt Road". Hopefully nice scenes of the area where I live!

Take care all....
I've just been to see The Salt Road with some friends who I'm on a bell ringing tour based around Plymouth and it seemed an appropriate film for a Saturday evening. Some great photography of the coastline.

Morning a 4.8 for me after a good sleep.
Bit of a yo yo day yesterday but generally within range due to me having two Scones after my walk down to town and going low trying to keep the Morris Dancers happy.
Pity the rain did keep the crowds away but all went well and as well as organising the food my wife won the cake competition after deciding at the last minute to enter a Carrot Cake in addition to her St Clementine effort as they did not have huge numbers of entrants.
Anyway she was really pleased and donated the winnings to charity to help pay for the day.
While wife was away my BiL and his wife called and enjoyed a coffee together but I was in middle of trying to sort TV out which took me a while.
In the end I rang BT and spoke to a very nice lady and she guided me through the process via my camera phone which could see the menu guide on TV.
I had done a factory reset but was struggling to find the HDMI channel so I could use my normal remote.
Anyway all sorted now and my visitors were really impressed when I showed them all the work in the garden that had been done and our forest of Tree Ferns.
Then a big chippy which my wife suggested as she was shattered.Normally I struggle to manage the carbs but took a little extra insulin and a correction dose to deal with second wave before bed.
For once I juggled it really well and did not go above 8 and had a nice downtrend overnight and uninterrupted sleep.
Also changed my sensor last night after getting my prescription which contained new Libre 2 ( but used last of old sensors) and got everything except the Creon but have enough reserve at the moment.
Have a great Sunday

Morning everyone. 6.1 for me before breakfast after a somewhat unsettled night and a mixed bag yesterday. A miscalculation at lunch gave me an opportunity to get in a brisk walk while the weather was pleasant. That brought my afternoon blood sugar within range. Another mistake in my bedtime snack meant my high blood sugar alert (9.9) went off and took two corrective doses to bring back down to normal levels.

Hopefully today will be accident free…

A 4.8 for me today. 🙂
Off to exercise the old brain with today's cryptic crossword.

Good morning a Len today

5.8 for me on a lovely Berkshire morning - all blue sky and sunshine. Yesterday was a day of two halves, mostly dry and sunny in the morning but rain non-stop for hours after lunch, including one almighty downpour. No thunder, though. Grass is soaking wet so Slug Patrol deployed but not a single one to be seen. I'd read that the dry Spring would mean fewer slugs this year and it seems to be the case, so far anyway.

Our eldest will be packing for Rhodes today, then heading off to his girlfriend's in London. They fly from Gatwick in the morning. My wife will be back from her sister's later but don't know when and our youngest has just left for his shift at Tesco. So, until our eldest gets up it's just me so I'll nip down to the petrol station shortly for our Sunday paper and read it over breakfast.

I got what I was hoping for in the tennis yesterday, a 3-set thriller. Men's final today, so hopefully 5 sets of the same.

Hope no one's mopping up after yesterday's downpours. Enjoy your Sunday.

Another day, another great theatre trip!

Went to the gym yesterday as it’s been a while and I need to dial up the exercise before getting fitted with my 48hr ECG thing. I’m pleased I went. With AI (specifically Gemini) I’ve written a three day a week training program to go back to basics and get some consistency.

Then a lovely 50 minute stroll to Bridge Theatre, which is down by the southern end of Tower Bridge, to see the revival of their 2019 production of Midsummer Night’s Dream.

It’s intensive, it’s spectacular, it’s genuinely laugh out loud funny. The cast are all fantastic but it’s the design that really lifts this from ordinary to extraordinary.

I sat rather than opted for standing but that did look like fun. I might go back and stand.

The Bridge really know what they’re doing with Shakespeare and how to maximise the technical freedom that their unique space affords them.

A couple of shots from the interval and also from the post curtain celebrations:

We go to the Globe quite often, a few years ago we decided to do the standing thing next to the stage. OMG, never again. The seating isn't that comfortable even with a cushion, but never again standing.

Morning all, 5.6 here. We had heavy rain here yesterday afternoon, and it was windy, but no thunder. Of course, my lovely pink peony had just come into flower. One of the flowers is sitting in a vase on the dining table now, having snapped off!

Morning all. 5.3 after an earlier JB, then later creeping downstairs for juice as the JB hadn't stopped the hypo.

Yesterday's thunderstorms didn't happen, it was showery. Today is sunny and breezy this morning so the washing is out. Thunderstorms forecast again for later.

We have nothing planned. Hubby is working 10-1 so this afternoon will be spent in the garden if its not raining or with the papers/books if it is.

Have a goos Sunday everyone.

Afternoon, again, 6.1.
I’d like to say I had another lie in but I didn’t, been up since 6.15am. Not had a minute until now, baby having a nap. Had a bit of a evening/night. We all had our tea just after five. Bathed baby Rocco, jimjams on and a cuddle, he fell asleep on Gaga’s knee at 7 so took him to bed. We were amazed! 7,40 he started crying, went up, he’d vomited all over the place, bedding changed, baby washed and changed. Just sat quietly on Gaga’s knee. He vomited again! No more PJs so put on yesterday’s vest. He was fine, he didn’t appear to feel ill. Put him to bed at 9pm and we settled down to watch Dept.Q on Netflix, only seen two episodes but loving it. We went to bed just before 10 “ just incase”. He woke briefly four times, we took turns, he just needed his dummy in and the covers pulled over him. He wasn’t really awake. Got up at 6.15, he’s eaten some breakfast and seems fine. Daughter rang so had to tell her, I didn’t let her know last night as there wasn’t anything she could do in Warrington, apparently he was sick on Friday! Here’s me thinking I’d poisoned him with the cottage pie I made! She’ll be back in Carlisle by 12.30, she reckons. Thank goodness! Nana naps me thinks!

Have a super Sunday.

It’s so different from the Globe. Standing is only for immersive productions and those you have to move around as various parts of the floor rise and fall to form stages.

Also as immersive productions are often in the round you get a totally different experience depending on where you stand and whether/how the characters interact with you.

I did standing for Guys and Dolls and you were literally in the action. That doesn’t happen quite as much here but there is physical interaction between Puck and audience, Bottom and the audience and the Rude Mechanicals similarly riff off of the audience.

You cannot sit anywhere at all at anytime if you’ve an immersive standing ticket as the layout is changing frequently plus you’ve cast and crew moving through the space.

I don’t know if you’ve been to Bridge Theatre but grab yourself some tickets on either Stalls or Gallery 1 and see what you think. The energy of the place is really what sells it for me.

4.6 for me this morning.

Possibly unnecessary swig of lucozade after the dog walk before this morning’s shift. And once again I’m wondering if this set change has ‘worked’.

Bah!

Have added some fake carbs to try to push the site into life. Something I almost never do.

Morning all and 7.3. looks like the reduced basal has worked and I didn't need that oatcake at bedtime

Looks like the line up for an event we're playing at Whitby has been released so there's websites to update.

New charger for laptop arrived yesterday. No more jiggling the lead until it works.

Have a good day everyone.
