Group 7-day waking average?

7.9 for me this morning. The grass was still frosted when I let the chickens out. The cold doesn't seem to bother them. I think they are happier now all the mud has dried out.
They also have several wheelbarrow loads of woodchips and a few old tree stumps to play with after yesterday's gardening session.
Working in the polytunnel this morning then off to the recycling centre again. Another 8 trugs of brambles and other assorted garden rubbish including some old stock fencing.

Congratulations to @littlevoice359 , @@Sharron1 and @MartinA on your HS. I think that step might have to be a small staircase if we have anymore stars today.:starstruck:

Enjoy the rugby for those of you who like watching 15 hooligans creating mayhem on the pitch (me included).

Good morning 6.6 today, after a good sleep which I definitely needed, and I’m feeling fresh

a slight lay-in for me and a different Saturday routine for me today, instead of the usual activity programme it’s some kind of MH & wellbeing event (that will be good for me)
then we are off to watch the game, big game today for us Northampton Town vs Birmingham City

Mrs @goodybags was invited to the game but she doesn’t watch football, but she will be happy pottering out in our back garden today working her magic (probably glad I’m out the way)

Morning lovelies!

8.7 for me this morning, numbers I havent really seen since I first started jabbing after Christmas but probably a sign I've taken the Mickey a bit recently so the fear has returned (was only saying to the offspring last night that it's a good motivator) and I'm back on it 100% from today.

9.5 for me on this very sunny morning, definitely lifts the spirit. We had a hastily prepared Noodle-Stir-fry last night. Tasty but very carby but the insulin sorted it out.

Managed to sort resort the pantry, the use by dated had been separated by the OHs support, without thinking I had put them all back, but now sorted out and I have a bag load to go.

Planned to go the MiLs later this afternoon in her chaotic bungalow - she's having a new kitchen put in. It's really going to make a contrast to the rest of, a nicotine-stained bungalow!

4.6 this morning and yesterday thought I had posted but didn't just got in from the weekend shopping not much on for the rest of the day except cooking Lamb off, hubby in the garden taking advantage of the milder weather congrats to all you HS people who ive missed over the last to days.

Frankly if it looks OK and smells OK I use it. Outdated or no... not poisoned myself or anyone else in the last 50 years.

Same here although I am renowned for recovering a somewhat green looking lamb shoulder by washing it thoroughly in vinegar and then water and then cooking it very well and my friend swears it was the tastiest lamb she has ever had!
I have even eaten yoghurts that were 3 months out of date!

As my sister says, "Best before doesn't mean bad after!"
 
Afternoon all - a lovely day, some scattered cloud but on the whole it's wall to wall sunshine desite a bitter wind.

6.4 at 09:55 after a lovely lie in!

Made jacket potatoes for lunch stuffed with diced corned beef, topped with cheese sauce (that was lurking in the fridge) and grated cheese. Did them in the air fryer. They were really tasty, but I was so busy making em I completely forgot to bolus for them until I had finished eating. Reached the dizzy height of 10.6 but the up-trend has turned down since we went for a walk on the coast path. Didn't go as far as we intended as the wind was making my eyes water so much I couldn't see. J is watching the rugby now and I'm about to search a bargain break on the internet. Our friends usually join us for a break to celebrate 3 of our birthdays, but since 2 of them fall on Easter Monday this year we are planning a break prior to that. Nothing else planned for today.

Oh yes, yesterday I got a phone call and now have a consultant appointment next Thurs.... that's actually less than 18 months for a change!

I've been a bit disabled the last couple of weeks after digging up a large shrub in the garden using mattock, fork and spade (not all at the same time) I ended up doing something to my back and getting shooting sciatica pains down my left hip and leg.
Finally caved and went to the osteopath on Thursday and after a rather painful adjustment it is quite a bit better. I have to go back next week though 😱 for the amount it's cost me in osteopath treatment I could have paid a strong young man to do the digging for me!

I did exactly the same 20 years ago digging up a shrub and trapped a nerve in my back. The GP gave me some strong painkillers and said helpfully that backs could take 6 weeks to recover. However somebody recommended a chiropractor and after 1 treatment it was 50% better and a couple more I had no more problem, it actual fact it was better than it had been for years.
I hope you see an improvement.

If it's a fresh product then I'd be a tad dubious but...if it's an unopened can or bottle then I'd have no qualms and keep it. However, if a product is labelled 'use by' then I'd think twice and as you say Patti, if it looks ok and smells ok then I'd chance it.
 
If it's a fresh product and it's past the "use by" I'd use my judgement like you. If it's a tin or bottle it's very probably absolutely OK.
 
3.5 this morning when waking in a freezing narrowboat up in Middlewich! I wonder if either my BG or Libre don’t like the cold :rofl:. Lovely sunny morning before it clouded over, but dry despite being a bit cold. We made good time and ended up just south of Nantwich after the pair of locks at Hack Green (apparently called so as it was a stables on the canal where they used to change the horses pulling the Shropshire Fly boats that travelled night and day on the canal hauling cargo).

Hope everyone is well, best wishes for HSs that I’ve missed on here.

Thank you! Loved the sunset, so beautiful tonight.

We are travelling from Middlewich down to our marina just south of Stone. We are choosing to go “the long way around”, instead of via the Harecastle Tunnel, Kidsgrove, so as to have a nice week pottering along the canals. So our route is Middlewich - Barbridge - down the Shropshire Union past Nantwich, Market Drayton, Brewood and joining the Staffs & Worcester just north of Wolverhampton, along to Penkridge and Great Haywood before turning north on the Trent & Mersey up to the marina in Aston by Stone (just south of Stone). It’s 81 miles and 48 locks (compared with 40 minutes by car going direct!).
