MikeyBikey is Unwell

BG now 7.6 and for the first time in three days I have saliva - the dryness was an awful feeling!

Had them running to my room and hour ago. I always have background pain in the foot. Suddenly whist I was dosing I got a vicious jolt of pain that felt like a knife going through my foot and screamed "Eff'ing Hell"!

Hope for some progress today. I was readied for a CT scan yesterday and waited and waited...

Pleased you have got your insulin back and now able to manage your diabetes better, but really sorry to hear you had such extreme pain with your foot. Fingers crossed the CT scan happens today. Sending (((HUGS))) and keeping fingers crossed for some better treatment.

Hey, good to hear from you. Matey. Hope things can be resolved. BGs being in range can make a difference.

@MikeyBikey Sorry to hear you're suffering at the moment, all the very best for a speedy recovery 🙂

So sorry @MikeyBikey, I've only just spotted this post, while you've been in the wars all week. Wishing you all the best and hope they are finally getting around to seeing you xx

So glad you got your insulin back. Wishing you a better time with it all.

(((Hugs))) @MikeyBikey. I hope you can relax a bit more now you're back in the 7s.

@MikeyBikey Ive been thinking about you. How are you?

Aww MikeyBikey, your foot looks so very sore, poor you, sending (((warm virtual hugs)))
That extreme pain you're experiencing, might it be the nerves are to blame? I had similar pain, felt like fifty bees stinging me all at once so I emphasise. Wishing you a speedy recovery and home to your own bed soon. Keep your chin up if you can.

Looks painful, get well soon mate.

Lowest BG since, arrival. Hope it does not progress to a hypo as they will blame me as you are really meant to take the prescribed amount! We have an array of insulins and technology and 60s/70s thinking.

Just had some liquid Oxycodone. Frequent stabbing pains in foot not helping me settle...

I am a glass half full person so, instead of the glass half empty view of worrying about a hypo, I would be happy.
However, if you think there is a risk of hypo (you know when you last took a bolus injection), why not have a dextrose (or your hypo treatment of choice) to stave it off.
If they took my hypo treatment away from me, I would be even more angry than if they took my insulin .. and I would be pretty miffed (to put it mildly) if the insulin was taken.

Good morning! Apologies for infrequent posts and their briefness. Although the infection has calmed but not cleared the tiredness and frequent bouts of pain continue.

Still far from ideal control with issues is insulin timing, dosage adjustment , etc.

Had a discharge Willia around. Because stupid Occupational Physiotherapist labelled me "Severely Frailty - Level7" she assumed prior to admission I had carers for washing, dressing, making a cuppa, putting together a sandwich, etc. These tags are a pain....

More later. -consultants are a coming....

hope you are better and they are treating you well Lots of love and hugs
