Hey everyone,
So my mum's GP practice have asked her to have a follow up blood test as her Hba1c came back at 42 from an annual health check. She is very slim, but had been on a low saturated fat diet for the past year (that can often mean higher carb). However, she is being quite proactive and is already starting to think how she can alter her diet. I've been able to help her with some things, but one thing she did ask me that I got stumped on was what to have in place of a slice of cake. I don't mean here which cakes are low carbs, but instead what could she outright swap it with if she fancied some? She does usually have some form of cake, often a teacake, each day. If anybody has any advice, we'd be grateful! 🙂
