I've had my earlier question nicely answered and now I have a second.
It's about BG spikes. I understand that we aim to keep BG spikes as small as possible and within a target of 7 or 8 mmol/l.
If it does happen to spike up to 10 for a short time and within 60 minutes is back down to 7 or so, and over the course of the same 24 hours my BG averages less than 6, what is the harm caused to the body by that short spike?
