Hi
Just wanted to say thank you to this forum so informative and have taken alot of advice both personally and from the threads. I had no help from my doctor really, quick phone call, (eat better, move more, take medication.) Am yet to se my DN (appointment Friday) . Since being diagnosed with Type 2 with a hba1c of 73 only 4 weeks ago, i was so scared, worried about where to start what to do,felt like no one had time to help re gp but, i found this forum and i have followed the advice on here, and also cut down my carbs to 50/60g a day and increased the quality of the foods i have been eating lots of healthy fats(ive always been scared of high fat!) moderate protein and low carbs. I invested in a monitor as suggested on here and panicked so much when my readings started off at 14 mmol and 13s all times of the day including fasting and bedtime, but just within this short time frame, they are now in the 7s and 6 s and even a 5 thrown in! (i loved that 5) the worry of seeing double figures constantly and what was happening to my body has eased and although i know i still have lots of progress to make, im feeling cautiously pleased im going in the right direction . Am thinking of trying IF and Fasting also to help lose my excess weight. Any advice on this?
Thanks in advance 🙂
