Hello,
Thanks to the great advice I have been given by yourselves, I am now on the road to reduce my HbA1c which has been consistently over 100!
You may know to that I have stopped taking the Glicizide (160mg) and solely rely on Metformin 2000mg/Canagilflorizin 300mg and the new low (ish) carb diet.
Over the last 2 weeks, my average reads were as follows:
Mornings 5.89,
Afternoon (2 hours after lunch, so 2.00pm) 7.30.
Evenings (8.00pm to 10.00pm after least 2 hours after Tea) 6.75.
Also, I do not get a read higher than 2.0 units after a meal.
My highest reads have been:
Morning 6.8
2.00pm 8.7
Night 7.7
I cannot exercise at the moment due to my eye op, once a start these reads may drop further. Also, I spoke to a Pharmacist today and I may experiment with taking my 2x 500mg earlier than Tea time, say 3.00pm, with a snack.
Q. Do any of the average reads seem excessive or where should I concentrate on to reduce the average reads a bit further?
