Can anybody advise what you could add to salad to make it a bit more tasty or a dressing that is not high in carbs/sugar, either homemade or shop bought.
All cereals are pretty high but that doesn't mean you wouldn' tolerate them, the only way to know whether you can tolerate things is to test BG before eating and then again 2 hours after looking for no more than a 2-3mmol rise, as for lower carb, omelettes, greek yoghurt and berries etc xxooking at cereals some seem pretty high.
Oooo ... you're such a tease. I'll take a look for Aleppo Chilli flakes. My partner is already worried by the number of different types of chillis and chilli sauces we have in the cupboard. But they all have their uses.🙂@helli try sprinkling some Aleppo Chilli flakes over your salad. Lovely flavour and I regularly do this when I cook middle eastern food. Last night I did lamb and mint kofte with creamed spinach and a cabbage salad and of course added in the Aleppo
I recently used up a box of expensive cereal that had been bought for my son who could not eat , and I had to measure out a portion that took a few days to find what portion had least effect. I think it was about half the portion on the box.Thank you all for your replies, just trying to sort out nice meals to have but to keep it as healthy as possible, what breakfast is best to have to keep your carbs low, looking at cereals some seem pretty high.
I like beetroot and pickles with my salad nice sharp tastes.
