Ypsopump Priming Issue

Hi All,

I was fitted with an Ypsopump on Thursday, not loving it so far, but I have an issue. I'm due to change my infusion set today, but the priming option isn't illustrated on the pump menu, so I can't do anything. I've been trying to find a "what to do if....." answer on Google, but can't find anything that will help.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do please? Obviously very new to this. Thanks.

Don't have a pump, so this is my very uninformed suggestion, but may it be options are only choosable when they are appropriate?
May the priming option only be offered when you have changed the infusion set?

Well I tries to replace it this morning, and it still wasn't applicable. It advises to definitely not use each set for more than 48 hours, and as I'm new to it, I just didn't want to risk it. But, it doesn't seem like there's an alternative until I can speak with my nurse tomorrow.

Yes, this is it. However, when I open the menu, the option isn't highlighted which means it can't be clicked on. And I can't find any troubleshooting info to explain why, or how to make it available.

It possibly only highlights when you’re at that stage - ie it’s triggered by another action or button press.

If you’ve got the manual, follow through closely step by step and see if it highlights. Also, check any connections or insertions are tight and fully in.

If you think it might mess up, then using the same set is the safest thing to do. It will be ok x

@Beach Bubbles I have the ypsopump and have been on it as a pump for a few years and as hcl for almost a year. I am not sure if you are looping? The cartridge rewind and priming options are whited out if the loop is running... if you are looping you need to turn the toggle to off in the app while you do a set change then turn it back on again after. It can not be done with automode running.

If you are not looping and they are not lit up then I am not sure the answer. The lights are lit up on mine... I hope you have got to speak to the nurse. If not try ypsomed customer service. They are friendly and helpful and should be able to be of use. I am sorry you are having issues with it. It is tricky when everything is unfamiliar, but it gets less so. If you can not get in touch with anyone, give as much detail as you can and I will try to help...
