Yesterday arrived and so the surgery for the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my right hand. To say i was nervous is a massive understatement. Most of the time I was waiting wearing a fetching blue gown. Local aesthetic, the entire procedure took 15 minutes and hey ho home time. However, they wouldn't let me leave until I had eaten something - of course sandwiches were provided. But they hadn't banked on this T2 diabetic, I politely refused the food offered and produced from my bag - a hard boiled egg, salad and some oat crackers. Cue hilarious laughter as they all came to look at my meal. It was v. funny and made me feel so much better. I am now sporting a very impressive bandage, underneath is a minute scar which is scheduled for unveiling tomorrow morning. I have also purchased some gold stars for my food diary and BGLs. I clearly do feel a lot better.

It’s good to hear the op is done and nearly dusted. Those gowns are lovely aren’t they, so fetching, plenty of fresh air for the derrière :D , I’ve worn a few myself 😱:D
Good luck with the unveiling tomorrow.

It’s great that you are feeling so much better.

Glad the op went well Sharron, I’m SO impressed that you planned ahead with something to eat 😛 Well done you :D

That's great! Love the story.

Many thanks.

That's great Sharron, I`ve had both hands/arms done, never had a boiled egg. Sore for a while but worth doing.
