Just had a telephone consultation with my GP and he has agreed that I can stop taking the Metformin and Atrovastatin. He was most reluctant about the statin as he reckons they like us to take it regardless of cholesterol, just based on my age. I told him I am working very hard at cutting carbs (I didn't mention high fat, you never know how up to date they are with latest research). I agreed to a blood test in 3 months to check my progress. Bring it on!
I can't tell you how relieved I am 🙂🙂🙂

Great news 🙂

Thanks everyone! I am so glad to be off the Metformin, it didn't agree with me at all.

Well done indeed, Jean. Great that you’ve kicked the stain into touch as well as the diabetes drugs. Age, indeed. Your GP is no gentleman.🙂
