Just installed the software for my accuchek compact plus, downloaded my results to it and wow, I'm very impressed with it.

according to the programme, my average bg is 7.54mmols

above my target range of 7 has been 43% (boo!)
within target - 33%
below target - 1%
hypo - 22.5%

Now I am impressed. I had thought i was hypo a lot more than that, but looking at the way its plotted on its day to day graph thing I've actually been a bit higher than 7 quite a lot, with a few up in double figures 😱

but, my average is very very good. I'm working on getting it down as of now. It doesn't really need to come down by much I know, and I certainly think that looking at these figures if they stay the same/get a bit lower then my HBA1C this time round will be very good! (And I can give the middle finger to the nasty eye people mwahahaha!)

Sounds good. Think I ought to get all the stuff so that I can down load (or is it up load?) from meter to computer

oh its brilliant, im having loads of fun playing with it. Do you have an accu check, cuz if you phone them theyll send you all the stuff for free :D

I ordered my cable from abbot yesterday so i can download my meter.
So you can set your own target ranges? that would be good. I don't write my results down, well very infrequently so this will be good for me.
I like looking at graphs and statistics, loved analysing my CGMS results

yep, when you start it up on accucheck compass, you imput what your target range is. I put mine as between 4 and 7 🙂

sounds good to me i shall have to invest

Thats good, makes me think about getting some software, but I know I wouldn't bother downloading, as it would probably get me down!

Anyway keep up the good work

Hello,

I used to use the software a lot for my Lifescan UltraSmart and UltraEasy but don't use it so much now.

This thread got me thinking so I went to look for the download, but the Lifescan UK site has become very difficult to navigate and a lot of the pages are broken. It also says you need to login to download but these links don't work either.

After a few minutes hunting around, I've discovered the direct links so that anyone with a Lifescan/OneTouch meter can download and use it without creating a login 😉

You can get the USB (or Serial) data cable for free by calling them on 0800 028 0616.

Get the USB Cable driver here:

http://www.lifescan.co.uk/Data/Resources/LifeScan/Corporate/GB/en/software/USBDriverSetup.exe

And get the OneTouch Diabetes Management Software v2.3.2 here:

http://www.lifescan.co.uk/Data/Resources/LifeScan/Corporate/GB/en/software/OneTouchSetup.exe
