I had my worst hypo this evening :( I can remember having to lie down on my kitchen floor and pouring with sweat. I also remember thinking that I had to eat sugar and fortunately had an open box of jelly babies in the kitchen - must have eaten about ten. Things are still a bit of a blur, just glad my instincts kicked in - tested at 4.3 just now about an hour after 😱

Glad your instincts kicked in Alan, hope your feeling better. You must have jelly babies all over the place, not sure what I could get too in the kitchen if I was on the floor, probably reach for a lucazade that I keep by the fridge!

Cheers Dan, I really think I dodged a bullet tonight 😱

Hope you'e feeling better now, make sure you've had something carby - bread, crackers etc. i've had one or two of those, sweating, shaking, completely out of focus, fortunately always have jelly babies up and downstairs, and handbag and at work, so can treat myself. Take it easy and maybe run a little higher for a while.

Do you know what caused it?

Most important thing is you could deal with it yourself and that you're ok now. Second most important thing, do you know why it happened?

Might have been partly because you "dismissed" sweating etc symptoms are being due to heat / humidity, rather than thinking "hypo" and eating jelly babies at an earlier stage. Still, shows the importance of having jelly babies to hand at all times, and when in doubt, eat first, test later.

Sorry to hear about your scary experience - but pleased to hear that you are OK now. Hope you don't have any more like that.

Hope you are ok this morning Alan. 😱 to that hypo

Oh northy, that sounds nasty, hope your OK today - take it easy x

Alan sorry I've only just seen this. That sounds awful. I'm so glad that you were able to reach your jelly babies. I hope that you didn't suffer from a hypo headache. Although it was awful try not to let the hypo scare you - from my experience really bad hypos like this happen very rarely if you have good control and hypo awareness. I'm touching lots of wood when I say that I've only had Hypnos like this once or twice in my adult life (fingers crossed). Big hugs to you.

Sounds very scary :( Hope you are feeling better this morning and those pesky BS behave today xx

Alan, so sorry to be seeing about your nasty hypo, they should be banned lol! That's good though like robofski says that your instincts kicked in & you were able to get to your jelly babies & treat yourself. Ditto on what redrevis said about do you know why it happened?
Take it easy for a day or so & maybe try & let your sugars run a little higher. Hope you're feeling much better today. You're friends are all here for you on the forum 🙂 x
