I have had discolouration on my shins for decades. GP, endocrinologist and dermatologist have never had an exact diagnosis. Now after being stable for years there are changes. Currently these are to the right. GP had no idea in a face-to-face but because of CovID19 getting appointments seems impossible. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Leg and foot feel warm, and practice nurse did Doppler and found reasonable pulses compared to left but I cannot help but worry. TIA.
I suffer from diabetic neuropathy in my right foot which gets very hot and red, mostly at night. However, I have noticed changes in the skin further up on my leg, from the knee to shin area. It is as though the skin has become thicker and feels bumpy under the skin. Does anyone else have this?
Hi @MikeyBikey mine have changed in last couple of months
I use Flexitol 10% Urea Cream for the relief of rough, dry and
anhidrotic skin conditions. Available over the Pharmacy counter
but get mine on prescription issued by Podiatrist.
Would be worth seeing the Podiatrist because your leg and foot
feels warmer.
The same advice goes for you @Sparky, it would be better if you

Diabetic dermopathy, commonly known as shin spots, is a skin condition usually found on the lower legs of people with diabetes. It is thought that diabetes affects the small blood vessels in the shins, which causes this condition.
