Hi Enid, welcome to the forum 🙂 How long have you been diagnosed, and how long have you been on the gliclizide? Gliclizide works by stimulating your pancreas to produce more insulin, and therefore hopefully helps to reduce your levels. How do your levels compare with what they wore prior to starting the gliclizide?Hello to you all. I have a question I have diabetes type 2. I take Metformin 2000 a day and they have introduced Gliclazide 40. My bloods are nearly always below 10. But never below 7. So I'm worried if this is alright. Any help appreciated Enid
Sounds like you are making good progress then 🙂 It's possible that things will improve further, or your doctor may decide to increase the dose a little. It's better to give these things time to settle in and see how you react for a while, as lowering your levels too quickly, and potentially making them too low, is not a good idea 🙂 I'd say give it a little while 🙂Hi been on Gliclazide a month now yes bloods are down to under 10. They ran high teens and Hb1 was 7.9. Gone up from 7. Should I expect my bloods to be lower.?
