Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi i dont normally post here but would like some advice, i have seen that diabetics have a high risk of womb cancer, does anyone know anything about this , thanks , as i have had some worrying symptoms.

Please contact your doctor ASAP. 99 times out of 100 it will be nothing to worry about, but if it's the 100th the earlier it's caught the better.

Diabetes is one of the risk factors. Others are: being over 60, post menopause, overweight, family history of bowel cancer, never having had children. I ticked every box! But being caught early meant a hysterectomy plus a little radiotherapy did the job and I've now been clear for 9 years.

Wishing you well.

I knew that not having children was a risk factor - but have never seen the diabetes warning - gosh! Anyway I had fibroids so had it all whipped out because of them - turned out I had endometriosis too once my consultant got in there so I took a lot longer.

For goodness sake - get yourself to the doctors asap!!!!

There is no link between diabetes and an increased risk of cancer of any kind. The confusion arises because of the link between obesity and the increased risk of cancer, because it is also linked to an increased risk of Type 2 diabetes.

That said, you must contact your doctor soon as. It’s like finding a breast lump - you wouldn’t post here to ask if breast lumps can be caused by diabetes, would you?
