She really does need some counselling and help and at 57 stone she needs it quick.

If the media ignored her and she was told no such title would be awarded then maybe she would stop. I think it may be the attention she is liking.

I don't think she is stupid, just crying out for help and attention in her own way.

She says her health isn't affected but I am sure she said she couldn't work because of her size.

Very sad.

She is described as an 'obese model' and is being cheered on in her efforts by a forum of people who prefer extremely large people. There is a lot of talk about the danger of sites for people with anorexia or bulimia being encouraged and given tips on how to get even skinnier, but in this article there is no censure for how this woman is being encouraged. :(

I think that the kudos of the title of 'biggest' is definitely the draw for her. I remember a documentary a while back about a man who claimed to be the fattest man in Britain. He hadn't been weighed, but they weighed him in the programme and he discovered he was 'only' about 32 st or so, not the 50+ he imagined he was. He was very disappointed.

I jsut caught the end of a documentary about the woman she is trying to 'beat' to the title - a lady who weighed 900 pounds (64st). The programmme followed her having gastric bypass surgery, sadly she died two weeks after surgery. Having seen this lady I think it's inconceivable that you could weigh 600 pounds more and have any sort of life. Interestingly, the lady did not have diabetes or high blood pressure.

The only other models I can think of are the Japanese Sumo wrestlers. They are fitter than most obese people but still end up with weight related problems. Personaly I hate being the size i am and struggle to loose it, I can't imagine being any bigger, I don't want to be any bigger.

I think the Guiness book of records should bring to a close records like the heaviest man/woman. They do not have many records for drinking as records like the highest blood alcohol are posthumous (think it is spelt differently but too tired to check).

Very few seriously overweight people I have met in my life have not been fit even if they delude themselves they are. I can't imagine this woman can walk properly looking at her legs (I would rather not). She need help from the medical sector in many areas not encouragement from the gutter press!

The only good thing I have to say about this grossly adipose woman is that her lunch menu is sensible. But I'd cut out the cheese, dressings and the saturated fat in the burritos. 1 cup chicken? Is that cold, grilled or fried?
