Just went out to buy a loaf of bread came back home feeling wobbly, tested my level it was 3.7. I am not on medication only diet, should my levels drop that low. I have now had food and feel a little better, I had weetabix and a banana for breakfast at 9.30 I was 6.2 before breakfast.

I had a similar thing the other day had taken my friend to hospital and I suddenly felt sick and faint, I ate a tracker bar and checked an hour later and I was 5.2 just wondered how low it was had I had the chance to check.

Hi Susie, although 3.7 is not dangerously low for someone not on medication, it will most certainly feel low to you and your brain is therefore sending out the signals triggering the symptoms of low blood sugar. When your levels have previously been much higher than this, as yours will have been, then you can feel shaky if they drop to lower, but still acceptable levels, known as a 'false hypo'. You did the right thing to have a little something to eat to raise your levels 🙂 As you become accustomed to lower levels you will not experience the symptoms 🙂
