First eye screening today in a couple of hours and am not looking forward to it! I just don't 'do' eyes, I can't even contemplate contact lenses.

Hopefully all will be fine and I'll not make a big scaredy cat show of myself!
 
Good luck with things today. I had an eye op when I was three & a half so I have a real fear about having my eyes tampered with in any way but it's always been an OK experience, even the drops don't seem to sting like they used to. Don't forget sunglasses for afterwards as things seem very bright for a while.

Although the idea of it can be quite frightening, it's a good thing they keep tabs on any potential problems in our eyes but I'm pretty sure you will be given the all-clear this early on into the condition.

The worst thing is the drops. Once you get over that it will be plain sailing. All of us here have had the scans with no problems, so it should be the same for you too.
 
I am sure you will be fine I am a man and even I don't mind going for my eye screening no pain just lovely ladys.

I'm back in one piece, and it genuinely wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected 🙂 Eye drops sting less than a drop of shampoo in the shower, and the blurryness is odd but nothing dreadful.

Added to the fact that the bloke was really, really nice he went through in detail the images on his screen explaining it all to me and pronounced them 'perfect'.

All in all, a good day so thanks for your good wishes xx
 
Are we allowed an I told you so moment?

We all worry about these things the firsttime and then find there was nothing to worry about. When I went for my first one I wanted someone to come with me, but everyone was busy so I had to go and be dead scared on my own...

Absolutely have a 'I told you so' moment!! I'm rather fond of them myself! 🙂
 
I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you thought it might be, and that the results are good. The nice guy doing it was a bit of a bonus, it's all women at the clinic I go to. All very nice though. XXXXX
