Today I went to the hospital at 8.30am to have a wisdom tooth out, under sedation. The dental dr said he didn't want to use sedation because of my sleep aponia. I was really nervous about it all, but he reassured me that he would give my mouth plenty of time to go numb, before starting. He did a really good job of taking the tooth out and I really did not feel a thing. He sewed the gum together so I don't have a nasty open space in my mouth. I was back out of the hospital by 9.10am. Fantastic service. My face is a little stiff and sore but nowhere near as much as I thought it would be.

Ah, that's terrific news spiritfree, so pleased it went so well for you! 🙂

Excellent news. Do take a suitable painkiller before going to sleep, though - paracetamol rather than aspirin type.

Glad to hear everything went ok for you.

Thanks everyone. It doesn't hurt too much today. Thank goodnes it's over and done with.

Thanks for posting this - I'm a total coward about the dentist & the thought of having a tooth out horrifies me, so it's great to know it can be a 'good' experience! 🙂 Hope you're recovering well. X
