Only the start of the 4th week but I'vee got a rough working pattern now and am beginning to polish it up a bit. Temp basals and dual/square wave insulin patterns have already proved very effective. Already results are roughly equivalent to a very good MDI week, but with fewer hypos. And I am hoping they will improve a little further.

So far so good!

As an example today's readings (which have included temp basals and dual waves to accommodate activity and a creamy pasta meal). These are before and approx 1.5-2hrs after meals:

4.4 : 8.3
4.5 : 7.1
5.3 : 5.2

So... Er yeah... Pretty happy with those!

I'm another split dose lantus-er. Started doing it when pregnant with my son, so about 2.5yrs ago and I didn't swap back afterwards.

Works well for me. I have a small dose around 8am and a much larger dose about 8pm (10u/22u at the moment, for comparison). I think it was originally done to help stop me running high in the late afternoon, altho I can't really remember now!

Worth a chat with your DSN, I reckon.
