I experimented with OH. He had been constantly snacking and at the time was still eating "normal" bread. He was 8.8 but the came right down to 4.6.

I seemed to have lost my fours but they have reappeared again and are usually my before dinner readings. I rarely wake lower than a 5.2.
 
Absolutely nothing wrong with 5.2 Grogg, spot on perfect🙂 So are the rest of your numbers by the sound of it.

This could become a new Olympic sport, you know. You all could be Team BG🙄
 
This is very interesting. I will gird my loins and start measuring at intervals when I pig out which knowing me will be tomorrow. 🙄 I'm usually too scared to measure but in the interests of science... 🙂

That's the spirit, Ditto! 🙂 Diabetes Science Experiments (as Ginger Vieira calls them)...forget it's your body you're experimenting on and get some useful results to work with. As Hobie says: "Knowledge is power!":D

It can be so surprising. Home made vegan birthday cake, generous slice complete with sugar icing only sent me to 8.8. A single mass produced profiterole took me much higher. I treated myself to one scoop of vanilla ice-cream in local ice-cream parlour with whipped cream and hot chocolate fudge sauce and my reading was okay for such a lovely treat. I do try to limit myself to treats when to when I'm hungry and I know my starting point will be good like a 4.8 or 5. When I'm starving my BG drops right down. If I am over 6.2 treats are out all day!! I have my silly rules but it keeps me motivated.

We're all different, Grogg1, so we've all got different "silly rules" - they're not so silly if they work tho!😛
