So I had my breakfast at 0800 and took the dogs over the park at 0915. By the time I got half way round the small park walking at a leisurely pace, my alarm was going off as sugars had shot up. Came home, sat down for a bit and levels started going down. Got up to feed the dogs and alarm goes off again because levels are rising again.
Why do levels go up when I do something? I'm talking pretty gentle activity here which I thought was a good thing?

Have you checked them with finger prick test sometimes those sensors can be annoying

I did it when I got home. Finger prick was actually a bit worse . Doc and DSN have said it is very hard to keep things on an even keel during honeymoon period so I'm not stressing about it. But it all just seems a bit weird to me.

Hope it soon settles.

It is indeed weird. I was delighted when my honeymoon period ended as the variability reduced. Just keep checking things. The good news is that it will get easier.

I wonder if the high during your walk was your breakfast spike. How far in advance do you prebolus your breakfast insulin?
When you came in and sat down, could you possibly have leaned against the sensor to cause a "compression low". Once you got up to feed the dogs that would release the compression and the levels would bounce back up to the previous high level. It takes about 20 mins for a compression low to register. I am assuming you didn't eat anything when your levels were dropping to push them back up as you don't mention that.
