Why do I think this is going to be a sensor fail

This is my new Libre2+ applied this morning. These are all "false" lows, finger pricks confirm my blood glucose was between 6 & 7mMol/L throughout the day except for the peaks, which were between 8 and 9.5mMol/L. I don't know why the gap in the readings is there, I've been sat on the sofa watching TV with my phone next to me. Alarm now telling me blood glucose is 2.9, so off to finger prick again .

This is so frustrating.

Probably a sensor fail. I found the Libre readings totally at odds with finger prick tests and stopped using Libre in the end.

I find the first 24 hours of a new sensor fan be variable but usually the sensor recovers.
This is due to the shock of having a foreign object shoved in my arm.
This is why some people insert their next sensor the day before activating it.
Therefore, I wouldn't draw any conclusions from a few hours.

I am another person that would insert a new sensor 24 hours before it needs activating. This generally gave me better readings on the first day after activation.

Do you not use any CGM now?

As others have said, the first 24 hours are usually a bit strange. Having said that, I trialled both Libre and Dexcom, and found the Dexcom much more reliable after the first day.

Yeah I would give it 24 hours and if still acting up get a new one on.

Have you had any paracetamol? Apparently that can have an effect on some CGM's
