I have been buying it for a while from Tesco's. If you subtract the fiber from the carb count it goes even lower.

In the UK the Fibre has already been deducted from the total carb content, so that 9g is the correct measurement. It is only in the US and possibly other parts of the world where the FIBER has not been deducted. The change in spelling of Fibre is key to telling you if it is a product which needs the deduction, but any US food sold in the UK would need to comply with UK labelling and have the Fibre deducted already. If you were in the USA, then you would need to do the deduction.

I too had discovered this bread in Lidl after someone else mentioned it here on the forum but to be honest, I am happy not to have bread in my diet anymore now or maybe as a very occasional option. Half of the loaf I bought is still in my freezer a couple of months after buying it. Don't get me wrong, it tastes Ok but I just feel that I am healthier without high carb and highly processed foods.

Might have a look on next visit.
But haven't tried Warburtons' for some time, as found it an "acquired taste", but Burgen was similar when first tried then found it Ok, but can't get it anymore. But need to check size of slices.

That’s the lowest in carb that I’ve read about per slice yet.
Hovis Nimble (wholemeal) is 8.1 carbs per slice, granted the slices are smaller, but it is more than enough for me 🙂

The 9g per slice is from their small 400g loaf so the slices are quite small. The larger 800g loaf has larger slices which have more carbs.

Well I'm cutting back on carbs not cutting them out so if I have a slice toasted for breakfast I just dont have bread at lunch time.
