Hi i dont know if this is related to my diabetes but i quite often get a really itchy nose and its a itch that just however much i scratch will not go away , it is very irritating and only even seems to occur right at the bottom of my nose on the middle bit which is the septum or whatever i cant quite remember lol, does anyone else suffer this and is it just a case of a good moisturiser or lotion will do the trick ?

Of course in a good way! Nite all 🙂

Every so often my legs itch like mad and my skin gets very dry. I use a little antisceptic cream which seems to help for a while. My doctor seems to be of the opinion it is something I have to live with...

Stef, you probably know this but when I asked my Consultant at a hospital appointment about itches of this kind (not the thrush type!) he said Diabetes is well known for causing nerve endings to react for some reason (not just the thing we can get with the nerve endings in our feet which we hear about a lot) and so we get tingles and itches when other mortals don't ! Aren't we the lucky ones ?

Northerner, just remember stress may put your blood glucose up. Now take some deep breaths and relax ....

ohh right ty vince13 guess i have to get used to it then , mind i will have to be abit more discreet when im on the bus

Hi Steff,

When I first read this post last night, I thought, not me, move on.

Then this morning my dreaded back itch came back, just about in the area where I can reach - phew, otherwise it would be the door frame rub again 😱

I find a good layer of E45 cream does the job in easing it! Not sure about rubbing a huge amount in your nose, still, you could claim you're playing cricket :D

Haha... I've just read this thread, how funny! I have no issues with nose itching, but my nose does sweat... WHen I'm cold, when I cry, at the most obscure of times! Do you think this is related?! Hehe.
