As some of you may remember back in April I felt so fed up and lousy. Not helped by diabetes, gastroparesis, various eye problems, shoulder pain, hip pain, extreme fatigue/exhaustion and unhelpful GPs. Fortunately I found a good GP at my surgery and eventually the hospital diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The reason for the post is to say that each of these conditions is a pain in the .....but there iis light at the end of the tunnel. I've learnt to pace myself and I'm really enjoying life. Yes I had five hypos this week and two migraines and at times the stomach paralysis kicked in but so what I'm still alive, smiling, loving my doggy, over indulging myself in chick lit, enjoying finding nice meals to cook, sunbathing and looking forward to going back to work part-time on Monday......and laughing lots. With diabetes you may not have the life you chose, and it can be an extremely difficult life, but I hope that you are all as fortunate as me in finding and enjoying the good times.

Brilliant attitude!! X

good to see you posting in such a positive way Take care

Nice to see you feeling better, and being so positive. Long may it continue 😉 xxx

Amanda,

Ever since I met you last year, I've been utterly gobsmacked as to how a woman who has all the probs you have, can rise above it the way you keep doing.

Forgive me if I tell you I think of you as a Weeble cos I'm not being rude , it's a compliment - because everyone knows that Weebles wobble, but they DON'T fall down !

Keep on bouncin' gal !

Thank you everyone. Thankyou very much TW I genuinely very much like the weeble analogy:D

You've brought a smile to my face 🙂 It's great to hear people being positive, D is not much fun and with that and other medical issues life I'm sure can be tough, but how you live that life doesn't have to be, and that's what you're proving.

Wishing you all the best for Monday, enjoy getting back into work 🙂

Brilliantly positive thread Amanda. I'm with you on good spirits even when things are not the best. I fully understand where you are coming from having suffered a little with pebbles over the last 3 months.

You are truly amazing and inspirational. Best wishes for returning to work xxx

Thank you so much for your inspiring comments. You help people, like me , who hardly have the will to go on, why bother is how I feel right now. You show me how things will pick up one day. I just hve to get through this dark time. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you are feeling better. Good luck, with your first day back to work, on monday.

Thank you everyone🙂 I was meant to spend 4.5 hours at work but after 3.5 hours I asked OH to take me home because I was very tired. I then went straight to bed🙄 Meant to be my day off tomorrow but I might go in for another three or four hours because I love the place so much:D
