Today I had a level of 6.4 in the morning and now I have a fasting level of 5.4

On the one hand I am pleased about the numbers but on the other hand as usual when I am around the level of 5.4 I feel headachy and my ears start singing and I stop being able to focus (mentally and visually) and concentrate.

I see other people with levels around 4 and even 3 and they are okay and functioning so I am wondering if there is something wrong with me or something I should be aware of that I am not aware of.

Today I had flatbreads for breakfast (I am experimenting with wheat bran and vital wheat in my diet) with egg salad and I haven't had anything else to eat yet today but I have been drinking plenty of fluids.

Hello, have your levels been running a bit high recently? It could be mild false hypo readings that some can get when levels reduce after a period of being higher. Or could they have dropped very quickly? Again creating mild symptoms. Just some ideas, hopefully others will have some suggestions for you. Did you manage to do anything to resolve the feeling or did it just pass?

As your A1c looks very good, are you sure you haven't got a blood pressure problem?

I ate some salted peanuts and perked right up again.
Then I made some proper wheat flatbreads "for my husband" and had one of those.
My bloods went up to 8 and then gently returned back to my usual 6.5 - 7.00 ish and I feel fine now.

I'll check it and see - thanks for the suggestion.

Just checked. My BP is about the same as it is usually so I don't think it was that. I drink plenty of water and I've not been particularly stressed nor eating food that might affect it.

Perhaps try checking it when you feel funny and see what it is then. If it's as normal for you then at least that option is cleared from further thought.

For the first 3 years after diagnosis i could feel the first start of hypo at around 5 ish, in year 4 it didnt happen till around 4 ish, now its around 3 ish.
But i still to this day dont like sitting under 6 as i dont feel that great, i get similar feelings of being way to high under 6.
Have you always felt that way since your diagnosis as you may be feeling how i started.
