My next will be 17, so I'd like anything New Zealand / seafood related, as I was living at Kaikoura at the time (name means "meal of crayfish" [actually a South Hemisphere rock lobster, which doesn't have big claws like Northern Hemisphere lobster species - see http://www.fish.govt.nz/en-nz/Recreational/Most+Popular+Species/Rock+Lobster/default.htm])

And lots of people are gluten intolerant / have coeliac disease. It will be very difficult to have a list that is universally suitable for all. I could suggest a NZ wine, but that would't be be good for those who were diagnosed under age 1 and thus are under 18 by their 17th diaversary.

No, I think every year is special and should be marked in some way - I'm sure weddings etc. have things like bone, formica, bakelite anniversaries don't they? 🙂

I don't eat icecream very much, it plays havoc with my teeth and gums, but it does sound delicious
